Army's MPF cleared to begin analysis of alternatives

Mobile Protected Firepower, the Army's attempt to provide the Infantry Brigade Combat Team with additional lethality, transportability and protection, has been approved to begin an analysis of alternatives. MPF, listed in the Combat Vehicle Modernization Strategy as a top priority to strengthen the IBCT, was approved by officials Oct. 19 to begin the material solution analysis phase, according to Army spokeswoman Ashley Givens.
