Audit Agency Calls For Improved Army Acquisition Objective Guidance

The Army should update the guidance it uses to compute its acquisition objectives and identify events that should trigger a review of the objective, according to a recent report from the Army Audit Agency. The assessment, released Sept. 25 and obtained by Inside the Army , finds that the Army's process for setting Army Acquisition Objectives was "inconsistent and complicated by wartime needs."
