Authorizers agree on $300 million plus-up for light-attack procurement in FY-19

Congressional authorizers now recommend the Air Force receive $300 million to buy light-attack aircraft in fiscal year 2019, a compromise that includes nearly all the money authorized by the Senate earlier this year. The Air Force is still working through its light-attack experiment, which pits Sierra Nevada and Embraer's A-29 against Textron's AT-6, and has not decided whether to launch a procurement program.
