BAE Systems said today it will close an armored vehicle manufacturing facility in Sealy, TX, by the end of next June, despite previously announced plans to build the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle there. The Sealy plant, which has been open since 1990, was intended to be used for BAE's manufacturing of the JLTV for its partner, Lockheed Martin, should the team win a full-rate production contract from the Army and Marine Corps.
