Beginning results of FIOP look promising for Navy aviation depots

The Navy's new Fleet Infrastructure Optimization Plan to modernize aviation depots has started to reach the service's bases. The Fleet Readiness Center Southwest in Coronado, CA has seen a few investments through the FIOP, including a new manufacturing cell and a second paint building under construction, said Navy spokesman Michael Furlano.
