Bell Regains Management Certification After Three Years

Bell Helicopter Textron announced tonight that its earned value management system had been approved, ending the company's three-year struggle to regain its revoked certification. The announcement signals progress in Bell's efforts to control cost and schedule problems in its programs. Earned value management involves 32 rules aimed at coordinating key project goals and objectively measuring progress in acquisition programs.
