Boeing-Saab team wins $9.2 billion deal for T-X trainer

The Air Force awarded a Boeing-Saab team a $9.2 billion contract today to build the next-generation T-X training jet -- the company's third major defense contract in the last two months. Boeing and Saab won the deal over a Lockheed Martin-Korea Aerospace Industries team and Leonardo DRS in the competition to build at least 475 new trainers for the Air Force, according to a Sept. 27 Boeing press release.
