Boeing says XLUUV delays primarily caused by battery redesign

Delays in the Navy's large robotic submarine program were caused by a new battery design and supply chain issues due to the global pandemic. Late last month, a Government Accountability Office report found that the Navy's Extra Large Unmanned Undersea Vehicle program is at least three years behind schedule and hundreds of millions of dollars over budget.
