Bowler to Head Navy Integration and Assessment Shop

Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Vernon Clark announced today he has picked Rear Adm. Daniel Bowler to direct the Navy's warfare integration and assessment division. Bowler is the commandant of the Naval War College. Inside the Navy reported earlier this month that Bowler had been in line to take over the Navy's surface warfare directorate but was passed over because his brother, Thomas Bowler, is vice president for strategic planning and business development at Bath Iron Works.
