Budget Agreement Opens Door For Army To Avoid Some Cuts Expected Under Sequestration

The budget agreement reached by Congress last week will reduce planned sequester cuts to the Defense Department by about half in fiscal year 2014, allowing the Army to avoid some of the debilitating reductions it was expecting, according to the Army's assistant deputy chief of staff for programs.
