Bush Names Navy Acquisition Chief

As expected, the White House today announced its intent to nominate Senate Appropriations defense subcommittee staff member John Young for the Navy's top acquisition post. Young, who has served on the committee since 1991, is the president's pick for assistant secretary of the Navy for research, development and acquisition.
