Bush Nominates Young for Deputy DOD Acquisition Chief

President Bush announced yesterday he intends to nominate John Young, the Navy's top acquisition official, to be the next deputy under secretary of defense for acquisition and technology. Inside the Navy reported last November that Young was the leading candidate for the job. Young was sworn in as the Navy's acquisition chief in July 2001.
