President Bush today will sign a $79 billion supplemental appropriations bill to pay for Operation Iraqi Freedom, a White House spokeswoman said. The House and Senate approved the bill on April 12, 2003. Bush asked for $74.7 billion in supplemental spending for fiscal year 2003 when he sent the request to Congress on March 25.
