Carter: Strategic Choices Review Progressing, But Bolder Thinking Still Needed

Defense Department officials have made significant headway with the Strategic Choices and Management Review, framing options for DOD's force structure, investments and other spending areas, but in some categories Pentagon leaders are pressing for bolder analysis as the assessment nears its finish line, Deputy Defense Secretary Ashton Carter said today.
