CBO: Alternative FCS Plan Could Cut Annual Costs by at Least $2 Billion

The Pentagon will save billions by canceling the manned ground vehicle component of the Future Combat Systems program, though the Army will by 2030 be using nearly 50-year-old vehicles, according to a new report from the Congressional Budget Office.
