Central Command Begins Investigation of Bombing Accident

U.S. Central Command chief Gen. Tommy Franks has appointed his deputy, a three-star Marine Corps officer, to lead the investigation into yesterday's training accident in Kuwait that killed six people. A Navy F/A-18C taking part in a close air support live-fire exercise dropped a 500-pound bomb too close to ground observers, killing six and wounding seven. Pentagon spokesman Rear Adm.
