CIO: Navy, Marine Corps Have Cut $100 Million In IT Costs

The Navy and Marine Corps have identified $100 million in information technology savings as they work toward a goal of $2 billion in IT cuts through fiscal year 2017, according to the service's chief information officer. The Navy is ahead of schedule on the path to that goal, Terry Halvorsen, chief information officer, told reporters today at the Pentagon.
