Coast Guard, Navy Ships Responding to Haiti Earthquake

The Navy and Coast Guard are rapidly responding to the earthquake that struck Haiti on Tuesday, with some ships already on scene to gather information on the situation, top officials from both services said today. Coast Guard Commandant Adm. Thad Allen and Navy Secretary Ray Mabus discussed the crisis today at the Surface Navy Association Symposium.
