Commerce Department surveying rocket propulsion industrial base

The Commerce Department is preparing to send out a new survey this spring examining the U.S. rocket propulsion industry, according to a source with knowledge of the effort. The survey, which is slated to be released in April, is designed to get a sense as to who is left in the industrial base that can make propulsion systems, as well as what shape the companies are in, the source said.
