Congress OKs Two-Thirds of DOD's FY-01 Omnibus Reprogramming Request

Congress has approved about two-thirds of the Defense Department's $874 million fiscal year 2001 omnibus reprogramming request, according to a Sept. 28 "final implementation plan" issued by the Pentagon comptroller. In July, the Defense Department sent Congress the FY-01 reprogramming request. The congressional appropriations committees approved reprogramming $601 million of the request, according to the final implementation plan.
