Congress wants DOD to spend $100M assessing cyber vulnerabilities in major weapon systems

Congressional negotiators early Wednesday morning agreed to a fiscal year 2016 omnibus spending bill that directs the Pentagon to spend $100 million assessing all of its major weapon systems for cyber vulnerabilities. The Defense Department did not request the funding for FY-16, but Congress injected it amid the continued proliferation of cyber threats.
