DARPA Demonstrates Small Unit Situational Awareness

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency last week simulated a rescue of a downed helicopter crew using a Small Unit Operations Situational Awareness System under consideration by the Army for its Objective Force needs. The simulation was designed to "replicate the type of urban rescue situation that occurred in Mogadishu, Somalia, in 1993," DARPA said in a statement.
