Defense Department Orders 1,500 More M-ATVs From Oshkosh

The Pentagon has ordered almost 1,500 more Mine Resistant Ambush Protected All-Terrain Vehicles from Oshkosh at a price of $640 million, the company announced today. The order follows a Jan. 29 memo from Pentagon acquisition chief Ashton Carter, who called for the quick purchase of the MRAPs and MRAP All-Terrain Vehicles to meet vehicle needs in Afghanistan.
