DISA examining blockchain for potential use in identity management

The Defense Information Systems Agency is studying how blockchain could be used to improve identity management tools for the military, according to an agency official. Lisa Belt, DISA's acting director for cyber development, said the agency is examining how blockchain could be used in various applications. However, she said not everyone is convinced the technology has utility for DOD yet.
