DOD Again Plans Concurrent Budget, Program Reviews

The Office of the Secretary of Defense last week told the services and defense agencies to prepare for concurrent budget and program reviews this year as the 2004-2009 defense spending plan is constructed. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld began the concurrent review practice last year after internal reviews delayed many major budget development milestones.
