DOD Awards Oshkosh Contract to Build Nearly 1,000 More M-ATVs

The Pentagon today handed another contract to Oshkosh for Mine Resistant Ambush Protected All-Terrain Vehicles, this time providing a $408 million award for 923 of the blast-proof trucks designed to operate in Afghanistan's difficult terrain. The award brings the total number of M-ATVs on contract to 5,219, still shy of the 6,644-truck requirement approved by the Joint Requirements Oversight Council.
