DOD Hands Out $97 Million Space Based Laser Contract

A joint venture of three defense industry giants has won a $97 million contract for continued work on the Space Based Laser, the Defense Department announced today. Team SBL IFX, as the joint venture is known, consists of Lockheed Martin, Boeing and TRW.
