DOD identifies $2.5 billion investment in close combat efforts starting in fiscal year 2019

MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO, VA -- The Defense Department has identified $2.5 billion in investments for its close combat efforts starting in fiscal year 2019, the director of the Close Combat Lethality Task Force (CCLTF) said today. Joe L'Etoile told Inside the Navy the funds would be used for acquisitions, in addition to research and development, across fiscal years 2019 through 2023.
