DOD IG Eyes Army's Cybersecurity, Use Of Portable High-Tech Devices

The Defense Department's inspector general has launched a review of Army cybersecurity, particularly the risks posed by portable high-tech devices. The audit of Army "portable electronic devices and removable media security controls" will determine whether the service has an effective cybersecurity program that "identifies and mitigates risks surrounding portable electronic devices and removable media," according to an April 10 memo signed by Alice Carey, the assistant inspector general for readiness, operations and support.
