DOD IG Finds Flaws In Air Force's F-22 Crash Report

The Air Force failed to follow proper procedures when investigating a 2010 F-22 Raptor crash and blamed the crash on the pilot without ample evidence, the Defense Department’s inspector general concludes in a report released today. The inspector general's assessment urges the Air Force's Judge Advocate to re-evaluate the service's 2011 Accident Investigation Board report on the crash and to "take appropriate action" to address the deficiencies in the report.
