DOD Issues New Force Planning Guidance to Facilitate Campaign Planning

Pentagon leaders have issued new force-planning guidelines aimed at providing combatant commanders far-reaching flexibility in identifying forces required to implement newly mandated regional campaign plans, according to documents and sources.
