DOD: Kosovo 'Troop-to-Task' Analysis Confirms Need For 31 Battalions

A recently completed NATO "troop-to-task" analysis supports the current requirement of 31 battalions for the Kosovo peacekeeping operation, Pentagon spokesman Ken Bacon said today. Yesterday, NATO headquarters sent a letter to all member countries outlining the analysis and asking for approximately 3,500 troops to fill out five battalions.
