DOD Panel Urges More Attention to Directed-Energy Weapons Development

Members of the influential Defense Science Board have urged Pentagon leaders to step up efforts to develop and field directed-energy weapons, according to a newly released DSB report. The panel published its findings about the status and prospects of the Defense Department's efforts to include directed-energy technologies into its roster of weaponry.
