DOD Proposes Legislation To Shed 'Burdensome' Reporting Requirements

Citing ongoing efforts to streamline management at the Defense Department, the Pentagon this week sent to Congress a legislative package designed to repeal numerous requirements for reports DOD says are overly burdensome, duplicative, obsolete or otherwise unnecessary. The proposal addresses recurring reporting requirements in Title 10 of the U.S. Code as well as various defense authorization bills.
