DOD reports TransDigm has not made refund, as industry advocates seek to avoid 'knee-jerk reaction'

A week after its executives were asked during a congressional hearing to voluntarily refund “excess” profit, TransDigm has not returned the funds, according to a Defense Department spokesman. Company executives last week appeared before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee . The hearing also included remarks from the DOD inspector general, who determined in a recent report that the company had earned $16.1 million in excess profit on 46 parts . Pentagon spokesman Lt.
