DOD Requests Permission to Reprogram $350 Million for Future Combat Systems Work

The Pentagon is seeking permission from Congress to reprogram about $350 million for the Future Combat Systems program, with most of the funding needed to offset cost increases in network hardware and software, according to sources and documents. The Pentagon, on June 26, sent a reprogramming request to Congress asking for permission to shift $353 million within the FCS research, development, test and evaluation budget.
