DOD Sets Up Reserve Information Operations and Assurance Teams

To ensure U.S. warfighters "dominate the computer information domain in future conflicts," the Defense Department has approved the establishment of five reserve organizations that will support DOD information operations and assurance initiatives. Deputy Defense Secretary Rudy de Leon, who approved the plan, said in a statement yesterday that information operations "has emerged as an area that is extremely well suited to (the) integration of Reserve capabilities."
