DOE Embraces CSIS Report Criticizing Lab Security Policies

The Energy Department said yesterday it is working to improve nuclear weapons laboratory security by implementing most of the recommendations advanced in a new report that sharply criticizes DOE's policies. The Energy Department chartered the 18-month Center for Strategic and International Studies review of DOE science and security procedures, also released yesterday.
