Executive steering group plans new cloud award for next summer

A high-level Pentagon group charged with accelerating the military's adoption of commercial cloud computing may pursue revisions to policies and regulations as it plans a new contract award for next summer. The Cloud Executive Steering Group is planning the award as a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract to acquire cloud infrastructure-as-a-service and platform-as-a-service, according to an Oct. 31 request for information posted by the group.
