F-35, Aegis combat system work together for first time during live-fire demo

An F-35 Joint Strike Fighter integrated with the Aegis combat system for the first time during a recent live-fire test, contractor Lockheed Martin has announced. During the Sept. 12 test at White Sands Missile Range, NM, an F-35B from Marine Operational Test and Evaluation Squadron 1 detected an inbound threat, Lockheed said in a Sept. 13 statement.
