The Pentagon has selected a dozen new efforts to fund in fiscal year 2009 through a program that seeks to identify foreign-made equipment that would be useful to the U.S. Military. In an Oct. 21 letter to Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Carl Levin (D-MI), Alan Shaffer, the Pentagon's principal deputy director for defense research and engineering, lays out the programs selected under the Foreign Comparative Testing program.
