Four Marine Corps Generals Nominated For New Posts

Four Marine Corps general officers have been nominated for promotion, the Pentagon announced today. President Bill Clinton has forwarded their names to the Senate for consideration. Lt. Gen. Raymond Ayres has been nominated to be the next commander of U.S. Marine Forces Atlantic, a position that would also make him commander of U.S Marine Corps Bases Atlantic, U.S. Marine Forces Europe, Fleet Marine Forces Europe, and U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Southern Command.
