Frigate capabilities development document approved by Joint Staff

The Joint Staff has approved the capabilities development document for the Navy's future frigate, as critics of the ship advocate for slowing down its procurement. During a Dec. 1 Senate Armed Services Committee hearing on the Littoral Combat Ship , Navy acquisition chief Sean Stackley revealed the CDD for the frigate had been approved by the Joint Requirements Oversight Council.
