Furloughs At Army Testing Command To Impact Schedules And Budgets

Army Test and Evaluation Command is set to furlough 4,400 civilian employees, throwing a wrench into the schedules and budgets of a host of programs, according to an ATEC statement. The pause in ATEC work is part of a larger Defense Department-wide measure to furlough 680,000 civilian workers for 11 days so the DOD can pay for some of the $37 billion in spending cuts it must make due to sequestration.
