GAO: Air Force buying eight ARRW hypersonic missiles

The Air Force plans to buy eight prototypes of the Air-launched Rapid Response Weapon -- the service's flagship hypersonic missile that's under development -- according to a new report. The Government Accountability Office released a report today stating the service will purchase four ARRWs to conduct flight tests and four spares -- quantities that were not previously disclosed.
