GAO: MDA delays EPAA Phase 3 delivery by 18 months, trims planned testing

The Missile Defense Agency has set a May 2020 target for declaring operational the third and last increment of the European Phased Adaptive Approach and simultaneously dialed back planned intercept testing. Originally slated to be online by December 2018, the EPAA is a package of upgrades designed to protect Europe from long-range Iranian ballistic missile threats.
