Senior Pentagon officials yesterday presented Defense Secretary Robert Gates a final batch of options for making changes to the military's weapon system procurement plans in fiscal year 2010, marking the beginning of the FY-10 budget endgame in which about $5 billion may be shaved from modernization accounts.
