General Atomics to build Reapers for Spain as Block 5 testing reveals flaws

General Atomics will build four Block 5 MQ-9 Reapers for Spain under a contract worth nearly $57 million by early 2019, according to a recent Defense Department announcement. The Jan. 4 notice includes two aircraft, with two more to be placed on contract, an Air Force spokesman said in a Jan. 10 email.
