General Dynamics gets nod to begin work on up-gunned Strykers

The Army has given General Dynamics $31 million to integrate 30 mm cannons on a select number of Stryker vehicles, according to a Pentagon statement. While the total contract award is $75 million, the Defense Department announcement cites a "requirement" mandating that only "up to 50 percent" of that amount can actually be obligated.
