Gonsalves to replace Hodges in Europe

The next commander of U.S. Army Europe is Maj. Gen. Ryan Gonsalves, according to multiple sources. He was nominated for his third star on July 13 and is expected to take command of USAREUR in September. The current commander, Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges, is retiring. Gonsalves commands the 4th Infantry Division and Ft. Carson, CO.
